Rest & Restore Protocol

When your mind understands, but your body won’t listen.

What if music could help your body regulate?

You already know that music can affect your body.

  • Rhythm and beats can make us run faster (higher beats per minute) or feel sleepy (slower beats per minute, e.g. lullabies)

  • Different music might make us want to tap our feet, make us shake our hips, shimmy our shoulders, or snap along.

  • High pitched music grabs our brain’s attention.

  • Suspenseful background music can make your heart race and the hair on the back of your neck stand up—even when you know you're just watching TV!

Music isn't just something we hear. Researchers have linked the various ways that music can affect our body’s physiology, including the autonomic nervous system, heart rate and heart-rate variability. This is called rhythmic entrainment—the interaction between rhythms in the environment and rhythms in our behavior or physiology.

REST & RESTORE PROTOCOL™ is a structured therapeutic listening program designed to support relaxation, physical restoration, and nervous system regulation.

RRP is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and in the gut, alongside deep knowledge of advanced sound technology to support deep relaxation and optimal therapeutic recovery for clients.

The music of RRP utilizes Sonocea®, a patent-pending technology that uses sound acoustics through music, to sync with the natural biological rhythms of the body. RRP music was composed with specific rhythmic and acoustic characteristics that are different from ordinary relaxation music. Beyond listening, you do not have to "do" anything to experience the benefits of RRP.

  • RRP is a 10-session, titrated listening program where you are guided (virtually or in person) by a trained and certified provider.

  • The guided listening sequence is individually paced to support your body's capacity for regulation and restoration.

  • Your listening experience progresses over time and can range from 15 minutes to 30 minute listening sessions.
