Parents: Ready, Set, Kindergarten!

Kindergarten readiness means so much more than ABC’s and 123’s. New routines, new spaces, new faces, new rules, and new expectations about managing attention, energy, and focus - there is just so much social and emotional learning taking place for you and your future kindergartener. If you are feeling nervous, you are not alone!

Ready, Set, Kindergarten! is a 90-minute interactive workshop for parents that will help you set your child up for social and emotional success. You’ll walk away with tangible strategies and create an individualized Big Feeling Families Toolbox to bring home, helping you and your child foster the resilience and coping skills you’ll use throughout their life.

BFF Arts & Crafts Club

Learning how to move through big feelings is hard enough for adults, much less kiddos who are still growing and developing.

We want kids to have emotional intelligence - to feel their feelings - without getting stuck in the “ick” of a big feeling. Discovering how to manage their feelings is truly a superhero skill. Kids don’t always need therapy, but they do need skills and strategies to manage their big feelings.

Each month, join me in Ridgefield for a Big Feeling Families arts & craft that you’ll get to take home to help reinforce the coping strategy. This is not a drop off event; parents or caregivers will stay and craft and learn the skills together.
